Thumbs down 1982 f350 400 oil leak

Hi Guys, I have a 1982 f350 with the 400 in it. I have a oil leak on my passenger side. I 1st thought it was my valve cover so I changed those out and I thought I had it fixed. I then had to drive a 60 mile round trip and when I got home I popped the hood and I saw fluid thrown onto the hood, and smoke from fluid hitting the manifold. I rechecked my valve covers and those are dry. So I took it to my neighbors house who has a pit and we still couldn't tell where it is leaking from.. The best way to explain it is that the passenger corner, and blower motor housing have oil on them, but valve covers are dry. The front of the valve cover by the alternator is covered in oil, but it is not from the valve cover. If anyone has any ideas of where to look I would greatly appreciate it

Since it's being thrown on the hood, that tells me it's getting into the pulleys and the belts. I would check the front timing cover seal. The best thing to do is spend some time and clean it up really good. Get as much of the oil as you can off. Then run it for a 15 minutes in the driveway, and then get under there and look. Driving down the road lets the wind blow it all over the place.
