EGR vs NON-EGR Intakes

I'm new to the whole emmisions thing as we don't have restrictions here in Mississippi.

Is there any big difference between EGR intakes and NONE EGR intakes?

Could I buy an EGR intake and still use it on my 351m? I'm assuming the EGR means it will have some other stuff with it that probably has to be hooked up.

Sorry for the dumb question. I just don't understand the difference and a google search only made me more confused.

Made an order earlier that has an EGR Performer Intake in it and can't decide if I need to cancel or not.

**EDIT TO ADD***
Been google reading some more and i'm leanding towards that I won't be able to use the Intake.

This look good to everyone?

Typically an EGR intake has provisions for the install of the EGR valve. An after market EGR intake, like the Edelbrock, will have those provisions and they will need to be blocked, capped or otherwised plugged if not used. They would not rrquire the "addition" of any "smog parts".
As far as fitment, port sizes, etc. there would be minimal, if any, difference between an EGR and non EGR intake, all else being equal.
Given your lack of need for an EGR I would have chosen to order a non EGR intake (if available) because they are usually a bit less expensive.
