My first classic 66' ec onoline cabover!
I have owned my 66' econoline cabover for about a year. Its brown with 70% of its body brown primer. I just replaced my ring gear and drive pinion with a bronco setup. It has less and bigger teeth. My theory is it's going to pull a lot harder and drive a bit slower. Forgive my lack of knowledge. I bought the truck with intent to learn mechanics and grow with my truck. It's simple and easily accessible to most parts of the motor. It's new a skill and I'm excited. Anyhow, anyone have any ideas or outcomes of this replacement?

im sure someone more knowledgable will chime in soon enough, but in the mean time...
according to my service manual, the bronco had a few different rear axle set ups dependant on the respective axle code found on the door tag;

so basically what i'm asking for clarifiaction is; which axle did you put in your pickup?

I switched with the 350, but I'm not sure from what. The difference between rings an the pinion drives where the bronco gear where bigger and less teeth.I'm in the process of finding out the numbers from the econoline. Thanks for the chart
