Need a favor from the 6637 guys

Can someone who has been running a 6637 for a while take a wet white paper towel and wipe down the inside of their intake boot? Then post a picture for me?

I have been running the Amsoil filter in my white truck for about 2 years now and I want to see how it compares before I buy another one for the red truck.

Thanks.

I don't have a pic but I can tell you that after running one since 2004 the intake boot looks spotless to my eyes and when wiped with my finger it looks like 3 dust particles got past..... they filter very very well.

I agree it is a good filtering filter.
My driveway is about a half mile long. The dust gets in the filter about every three months I need to replace it. I can run longer but for max power it needs replaced. I have gone 5 months in the winter before and the truck would not start without cycling the GP's several times. I know it sounds funny but honestly it was a dirty filter. The strange thing is since the gravel is grey it does not show up in the filter very well. It looked like a clean filter but would not flow enough to start the truck. Just gravel dust.

I gladly change it several times a year now.

Ahhhhhh neal..now i see why you were on the "hunt" at rre for then..makes lots of sence.

mine after a year is spotless.i know because i just installed my riffraff turbo inlet tube.
the old orange boot was intact and clean with 1.5yrs use on the filter. i just couldnt sleeep knowing that orange bugger was ready to split at any moment lol.

Neal it was good meeting you there at rre. Do you use a riff raff cover for your filter? Would that help any or be to restrictive? I dont know what i would do with out internet at work. I would probably have to actuly work or something.

Gabe it was great meeting you too. I used to have a cover on it but it did not help with the fine dust. I would clean it too but the filter still needed replacing

Gabe, you saw what I had for a filter cover....a pair of my wife's black panty hose! LOL! I figured if they could keep the hair on her legs in......they could keep a little dirt out! LOL!!

She's gonna kill me
