truck starts only when it's hot out
I have a situation that my 90 f150 302 auto will only start after the ambient temperature has gone up. I replaced the EEC relay the other day due to a bad power connection. I went to start it up the next morning to go to work and no go, the FP relay not energizing when the night before, after replacement it fired right away.
I came home from work turned it over, and it started first try. Next day same thing , morning no go afternoon go. I replaced the FP relay and fires no problem.
So, to my surprise I went to fire it up the next morning and .... no start. I got home today, turned it over and flashed up the second the key was turned.
Pulled codes TPS out of range (been that way for 7 years)
EGR not opening ( no emissions)
So my Question is can a bad coolant or air temp sensor cause the no start when cold, cause after a few hours in 85F or 28C temp it starts no prob.
BTW the EEC relay energizes and I have power to the relay.
Thanks
