I have a 2001 F-250 V-10, 4x4. Lifted 4" and rolling on 315's. Re-geared from 3.73 to 4.56. Average MPG before re-gear unloaded was 10-13 hwy at 75mph (While I lived in AZ). Now I average 10-12 at same speeds (unloaded) I made 2 trips west to east from AZ to GA with a 20ft cargo trailer loaded at 8-9000 lbs and averaged 7-11 mpg. (11 mpg was only 1 tank after rolling through Houston TX). With mixed driving around GA I average about 10 mpg. Only mods to engine is a Superchips programmer, which when I made those trips I used the towing program. Now I am running the econo program. Also a y-pipe installed and a flowmaster muffler.

I agree. I have an 06 v-10, not sure about the gearing but I hope it's a 373 because if it's not I'm going to be a little disappointed. I dont seem to have much bottom end at 2 grand and I noticed this while driving into a stiff head wind while pulling a horse trailer with two horses in it. It's not like my 7.3, maybe I'm spoiled but really wanting to look into a 5 star tune.
