Just shy of 200,000...

I got put in a "new" truck a few days ago at work. Its a 2012 F-350 crew cab flatbed 2wd 6.2L.We don't hotshot but were on the highway all the time.By Monday or Tuesday it should have 200,000 miles on it.I was talking to the fleet mechanic and he said it's really only had regular maintaince. It still feels nice and solid and has good power still.Since I've been driving it,It's been getting 7.7 MPG's all day everyday.

As of yesterday-

Miles-199,643
Hours-9,515
Idle hours-4,427

Crazy # of miles in such short time. Very pleased to see this power plant running up such #s. I wonder what oil they are using.

That's great to know. BTW, by the time I had 200 k on my old 6.4 psd, lots of things had gone bad on it. Over $6000 in repairs and lots of downtime that can't be made up.
Then it got worse and quit on me at 320 k. And it was deleted at 140 k. Guess what, Diesel fuel and oil and coolant don't mix.
If you ever hear from a psd driver that a newer diesel is better than gas.......you are probably talking to someone who hasn't had it past the warranty much or put a ton of miles on it like me.
Drive smart........drive gas. 6.2 rocks.

Wow, that's good to hear.

Beats the pants off the diesels, that's for sure. Always some drama going on in the 6.7 forum.

Sheesh...

i cant stand the newer diesels due to all that emission **** and technology that ruins them, thats why i stick with the old school 7.3 powerstroke that is hard to beat and doesnt miss a beat. right now im in a 6.2 and love it but will be buying another 7.3 in the future for a toy

I had a 99 7.3 It ran like the wind. I put 667,000 on it before it let go. I should have kept it, it was very reliable, unlike my 6.4
But my 6.2 rocks!
