PCM Problem? Need help. Truck stuck in hills
I was coming up a dirt road not too ruff just a little washboard when the truck just bogged down like it cam under a heavy load and couldn't climb the hill. I had to drop it into low transfer to get it the rest of the way up the hill where I could look at it.
This is my 99 superduty, v10
So it's throwing 10 codes but there is one that I think is the culprit but I have no shop manuals with me to diagnose the problem and the Haynes I keep in my truck is no use for this.
The codes are:
P0743
P0750
P0755
P1747
P0443
P1415
P0135
P0155
P0602
P1754
When I clear the codes the p0605 stays which is a PCM program error. As soon as I start it it throws the same 10 codes. I have tools to work on it I need some help on diagnosis.
Thanks all

I checked the connections but I'll look closer.
And the codes and PCM are transmission related aren't they? so why move me to v10? If not a general superduty question and you are going to move my question it would probably be better in the transmission forum
Anyway I'm still looking at it. Anybody else that can help. I hate to try and get a tow truck to the mountains

P0743 Powertrain - Transmission - ISO/SAE Controlled
Description
TCC Circuit Conditions
Cause
Engine running in gear, VSS signals received, and PCM did not detect a voltage change at TCC solenoid with it on
P0750 Powertrain - Transmission - ISO/SAE Controlled
Description
Shift Solenoid 1 Circuit Conditions
Cause
Engine running in gear with VSS signals received, then the PCM detected an open or shorted condition in the shift solenoid 1 circuit with the solenoid energized
P0755 Powertrain - Transmission - ISO/SAE Controlled
Description
Shift Solenoid 2 Circuit Conditions
Cause
Engine running in gear with VSS signals received, then the PCM detected an open or shorted condition in the shift solenoid 2 circuit with the solenoid energized
P1747 Powertrain - Manufacturer Controlled DTC - Manufacturer Controlled
Description
EPC Solenoid Conditions
Cause
Engine running in gear at cruise speed and the PCM detected that the TCC circuit was shorted to power
P0602 Powertrain - Computer and Auxiliary Outputs - ISO/SAE Controlled
Description
Control Module Programming Error Conditions
Cause
Key on, then the PCM detected a programming error in the VID Block This fault requires that the VID Block be reprogrammed, or that the EEPROM be flashed
P1754 Powertrain - Manufacturer Controlled DTC - Manufacturer Controlled
Description
Coast Clutch Solenoid Circuit Conditions
Cause
Engine running in gear at cruise speed and the PCM detected a short or open in the CCS circuit
Looks like transmission to me? I think the P0602 is the key but I need some help diagnosing it.
What do you think it is moderator? I though about starting it in the transmission section but I thought it would get seen more in the superduty section although I'm sure 150's and Ex's will have similar controls and errors

Sorry I didn't see this, nor senix's request to move it to the tranny forum until today.
One thing I gotta ask - when the engine is idling, and the headlights are on, do they flicker? Do they brighten up when you raise the idle ?
Reason I'm asking is that I've heard that if the alternator is getting flaky (bad diodes, usually), the PCM will throw all sorts of weird codes, especially tranny related, and I've heard quite a few times about the VSS (speed sensor) one.
You might want to check the battery voltage when idling, and all your grounds too.
Also, make sure you don't have COP/plug arcing or failing. Sometimes ignition noise causes this type of stuff too..
Otherwise, you might have water in a connector somewhere?

Hey Art,
Well I actually still believe this should have been left in the superduty section where I started this thread before it got hijacked and moved. I'm sure the v8 and v10 use the same electronics. At least until the discussion lead towards a v10 or tranny problem.
What I found after I got it home was a blown fuse in the fuse box under the hood. Not sure how I missed it but I was pretty hot and tired by time I got to looking at it. The fuse was #7 I believe. It powers the O2 sensor heaters. I guess it also supplies power to the shift solenoids and other PCM related stuff. I haven't located a wiring diagram for that circuit yet. I've checked the O2 sensors and they checked out good and I've gone over the wiring harnesses for anything pinching or rubbing but haven't found anything yet. I took it back to the hills last weekend. Spent the whole day off-roading with no problems. So I don't know what happened. The only difference was last time I was towing a ditch witch.
Would you have a copy of the wiring diagram for that O2 heater circuit or know where I could get one short of buying the full manual set?
Thanks,
