Question about EGR delete and CEL.

Good afternoon, I just purchased a used 2007 F250 with the 6.0 powerstroke. I had a pre buy inspection completed at a diesel shop and the truck got a fairly clean bill of health. The tech said that an EGR delete had been completed on the truck, but the CEL came on with the P0401 low egr flow code. My question is this..will a tuner like the SCT turn that off permanently, or only allow me to reset it every time it comes on? The EGR valve is there, and the plug is plugged in, although it is a little mangled Nd I'm not sure if its making a quality connection. Thanks for your time!

Ryan

Awesome...thanks for the quick reply...I've been reading a lot of threads here while looking at trucks and found the forums extremely helpful!

Rusty, I took the yes as an answer to the "will it turn off the light permanently" part of the question, did I miss something there?
