98 F250 LD Center Cap

When I bought my truck the previous owner must have removed/broke/lost all the center caps. I've checked around the net a little, but the 7 Lug tires make this like finding a needle in a haystack. I've thought about trying to clean up and maybe paint the rims and get some nice shiny lugs so it doesn't look so crappy. Anyone else got suggestions? Also tried salvage yard but they checked and there was nothing around.

I watch eBay for them, and when they show up, they want 40 bucks a pop for them, apparently because they get it.. I haven't bought any, and don't plan to, I'm either going to belly up and buy new rims, there are only a few options left that way too, or just sand and paint everything up, and not have center caps.

Fwiw, I have 2, got the truck like that, so one side looks ok, the other side looks all janky lol

yep pretty much what I saw on ebay too. And usually its just 1 cap being sold, and no two have the same finish. I'm doing my research at this point for painting the rims. Looks like consensus is to use engine block paint, and skuff up with a wire wheel.
Course I'm going to have to tackle rusted out rockers some day too. Anyone have advice on that? Salted winter roads are the worst on these trucks

There is rim paint available, I got some from O'Reilly and used it on a grille of an old S10, worked out pretty decent. From what I'd read on that, most guys were using around 4 coats of it and had pretty good luck with rock chips.

Anybody got any ideas of how to better secure the center caps onto the wheel? Seems a lot of people are loosing them. I had one fall off last weekend. Expensive to keep replacing them. Thought maybe drilling a hole somewhere to secure them. Thought maybe someone had a idea.
