OIL CHANGES QUERY

Hello folks, question on oil changes, just out of curiosity. How often do you change the oil on your Expy? What oil do you use?
I do an oil change every 10.000 Using the 15000 miles extended performance Mobil one , on a Bosch filter, It comes to one oil change per year for me. I like that.

I use Walmart supertech dino 5w30 with motorcraft Fl820S Change every 5k miles but what I am concerned that when oil drain out oil filter it look like dark RED/Brown. No sludge black.

Yes I already change oil 4 times since March 2013. That 5K miles every oil change.

WOW every 3000 miles on synthetic ??? Dude I think you are wasting money.
synthetics will go way further than that.
I go 10.000 Miles , on an oil made for 15000 , when I drain the oil on my 5.4, it is still good, viscosity and color are still good.

I go no.more than 3000 on Dino oil, either SuperTech 5w-30 or TropArtic. 5000 on Quaker State Defy 5w-30. Use only the $3.97 Motocraft filter vs. All other filter available except for Wix or Napa.

Note: The color/apperance has nothing to do with the oils ability to cool/protect/suspend. If I were running 10k oil changes, I would definitely do a UOS at my next scheduled OCI and do some comparisons. I'm not a fan of Mobil, but rather the cheaper oils, as I'm an underdog myself. I'd prefer Royal Purple over Mobil any day with OCI's over 8k. But, as with any oil query or debate, its biased from myth, mistakes, and hearsay.
