Need Wiring Diagram, please. 90 f350

Hello,

New here, I come from the land of Datsuns. Maybe I missed the Electric section, if so, sorry..

I dont own a ford, but the company I work for, almost all the trucks in our fleet are fords. One being a 1990 F350 w/460 5spd Liftgate. While I was fixing the dual tank switch I noticed that the windshield wiper switch looks kinda like the one in my 72 Datsun 521 truck (think ford courier or chevy Luv). And now I want to use this switch in my datsun to get intermittent wipers. Ive already went to a local J/Y and got the switch and delay box. Ive ground down the threads and rethreaded to the right size for my truck. It now mounts just like the factory datsun one. anyways...

I need a Wiper Wiring Diagram for the Ford F150-F350 or Bronco or ? 79? to 91?

Thanks.

79 to 91 is a broad range. What year truck did the switch come from?

The diagrams I have access to are broken down into:
  • 1980
  • 1981-1983
  • 1984-1986
  • 1987-1989
  • 1990-1991
  • 1992-1996

Let me know which one you need and I'll get you the diagram.

I am unsure of the manufacturing date and model for crossover applications... like I said and why the confuesed question emoticons behind those figures... The 1990 F350 is what inspired me to do this modification. Ive tried searching the web for diagrams but, always come up with the wrong year. It also has proved that not only the 90 F350 has this option. F150-F350 , Bronco, and something else from the years 1979-1991 have the same components... Also in my research, older trucks use this same wiperswitch/ delay as a bolt in upgrade... If wrong, Set Me Straight!
Im hoping to find a ford guru that knows all...

Either set it straight that this info is wrong or provide info helping a undeserving newbie...
I can provide pictures of what im attempting to do. I know the internet forums love Pics... right?

Sorry, Cat videos are distracting me...

I think I got my current switch out of a 89 F250...

Oh, and Ffuuck Vatozone...

I'm not trying to dispute weather or not for used the same wiring setup, or even many of the same parts for several years.

I know that ford has often uses a different color wire to accomplish the same task depending on year. I didn't want to send you the wrong year diagram that may or may not conflict with any wires or connectors on the part you already pulled.

Here is what I can contribute. Hope it's helpful.

This is the switch and delay box im working with. The truck it came out of doest have the multi switch on the steering colum. Its on the left part of the dash. I think one click right is low, two right its high. off is center, and left is the delay options moving freely. push in for washer.

Can you edit titles here??

anyways... thanks F150xlt...

Here is my muse... haha

the switches

and the part I custom made with some aluminum diamond plate scrap, to fix the dual fuel tank switch that someone pushed it so enthusiastically, it popped back into the dash. I utilized some random holes (for the new screws) not in use or broke...

I also went to the J/Y again after work and got two more switch/delay setups.

Im going to get the proper permits and hopefully start the wire planning tonight and tomorrow hopefully start the actual install and if all goes well, Ill pass final inspection...contractor joke... . .. anyways...

Figuring ****e out...

hmmmm...

The ford switch is positive switching and the datto is negative switching... (maybe that's why Datsun is no longer, glass half empty thinking. Ford glass half full... still around...hmmm) Im hoping I can just reverse the polarity of the wiper motor... motor will go in reverse, but since its on a cam arm it effectively does the same thing right? hmmmm. testing will commence tomorrow...

thanks ford community....
