1948-1950 F1 with big back window found

Guys, I know i havnt been around much, been working like crazy, and hunting down parts for my 48 F1, So far I got a 226 n trans, that was pulled from a running 50 f1, (guy was making a rat) Found a bed, picking that up in a few weeks,New tires 16's, started body work(got that done over the winter, Plus a lot of other stuff I can't think of at this time lol... How ever on one of many hunts for parts, I found a 1948-1950 F1, that had big back window, had no motor or trans, but had the body, frame glass,doors.. looks like it was once a 226, what can be said about 1948-1950 F1's with a big back window ? i never knew there was such a thing.. The dash was the dash of a 1948-1950. and not 51-52.. I'll get pics as soon as I can.. Guy said if i wanted it he would sell it to me, price hasnt really been set..
Thks

The mystery of the big window 48-50 cab was solved a while ago. They are service cabs sold through Ford parts division as replacement parts. If a truck was in an accident that messed up the cab bad, a replacement cab could be purchased from Ford. As Ford wasn't in the business of making concours correct parts, but simply parts that work, they stamped only one back panel (the latest production 51-2 style) to fit with either dash/cowl, 48-50 or 51-2. There was even an NOS one on ebay for sale recently. If the one available to you is in good shape and can be had reasonably, it'll make a great conversation piece. Snag it and use it!

Hey Cody,
Post some pics when you get a chance - Let's see what
progress you made. Sounds like you have a great plan - great to see you found a bed & engine!
