How quick does your truck temp heat up?

I have a '95 F250 XL with a 5.8, 245xxx on it. I have noticed driving around, say I run the truck for a hour (couple minute breaks in between for stopping at store or something) I get the needle to the O or R in the word NORMAL on the gauge. Just seems like it gets a little hot or I could be paranoid.

AC blows hot air, and if I use defrost my temp gauge goes up a lot quicker so I know I have some problems there. I am thinking of draining the radiator out, change hoses, recharge the ac,. I hope it's not a waterpump or thermostat. I have been crawling under trucks my whole life and am kinda sick of it haha. Just replaced the original starter a week ago in it (man those bolts were in there good, what a pain!) Sorry for rambling on guys..haha

so far my 5.8 stays pretty cool and i haven't done anything but run it with the coolant that was in it when i bought it

if you are going to drain the radiator and change the hoses you may as well go all the way and flush it out, and also remove the waterpump and t-stat so that you can eyeball them for problems.

i do that and the piece of mind is easily worth the price of a gasket or two

My 5.0L runs on the "O" all the time, nothing to see here. I wouldn't discourage a radiator flush though. The tanks on the sides of the radiator tend to plug up with sediment.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, original waterpump and t-stat so I think 245,xxx out of it is enough and should probley change it anyways. Motor doesn't leak or burn oil, runs smooth and quiet so might aswell take of it
