Does anyone know if I change out the wiper switch to the interval switch, is that all that is necessary to get interval wipers? Presently my 1985 just has the low and high position switch. But looking in my service manual it show that Ford offered that option. I located a interval switch but sure don't want to go to the problem of changing it out if that is not all I have to do. You also need to install the black-box governor.

 

And make sure the new switch's ground is connected.

 

Thanks for the heads up on the black box. Did not realize that existed. Ok on the ground wire and now I will try to find a black box this afternoon. Richard
