If the price is right go for it! You will like it once you drive it but expect an avg of 8-10 mpg.

This is like going to bars to quit drinking or back alleys to quit crack. We live in America and we can get what we want sometimes. Get it and go ahead and plan your mods.

Once you've bought it if you don't actually need the V10 you will curse it every time you buy gas. F250 - no problem, 4WD - no problem, V-10 - only if you need it. The money you save buying it, if it's a screaming deal, disappears the first time you go over $100 filling it at 12 mpg...

You need to fix your title. It should read "Talk to me about mods and off-roading with this SuperDuty I decided to buy".

Even without pics, I can tell it needs racing stripes.

Good luck.

yeah, but my previous F150 4wd got 13 MPG, so I am no stranger to bad gas mileage !

Your post said weekender truck so I say v10 no problem . As a daily driver a v10 can get real expensive real quick. I average 10-11mpgs . But as far as reliability stone cold reliable. I to don't always need my v10 but when the need comes along its nice to have more then enough then not enough. I've been trolling these forums for a long time and I don't think I've ever heard of anyone saying they have too much power lol

If you want mileage get a 6.0 diesel that already has been bulletproofed. I get 21+ MPG on the highway. I pulled a trailer with a 4000lb car on it and still got 16-17 mpg...

If I was looking for a weekender truck, the truck you found would be ideal.

Yep I'd buy it.

Wait I did buy it. It's the same reason I bought my truck. That truck found you. They are hard to find and some just don't want the hassle of a diesel (yet) so it's a great fit. My truck has plenty of power for what I use it for and I don't mind the MPG it's just me. I have a size 22 carbon footprint I'm used to paying for gas. I just be sure to figure it into a purchase. Go for it!

Amen.

I have never said to myself:

" this truck would be perfect if it only had a little less power and load carrying capacity, and while I am at it I think I make a little to much money at work"

If the price is right....Buy it
You say u dont need that much truck but you'll be surprised what you'll be doing with it after u have a truck that "can"
My first SD was a V10 & it was very reliable (ran like a rapped ape) the downside was 10-11 mpg but as a weekender i dont see the problem.
The reason i got rid of mine was i pull a 5th Wheel all over & considering the V10 got 6-7 pulling it @ appx 65 mph max speed, the Diesel @ 11 mpg pulling it however damn fast i want was a no brain'er (plus the diesel doesn't slow down in the mountains)
With that being said for what u told us i think you'd fall in love w/that F250, having a truck you can load up like a truck....Let us know

If it's a good price, go for it.

Pull a 29ft. TT up a 6% grade at 60 mph... no problem.

Throw 30 bags of concrete in it... no problem.

Sure like ours and I was a bowtie guy for 30 years.
