2008 F150 4wd

I've done the searches here and seen it done both ways, But for once and ford all, can I just undo the tie rod bolt and pop the taper to get the spring/ shock assy out or do I need to undo the upper ball joint nut to get the room to get the assy out. Blistein 4600's are in the mail. Thanks for your input.

You have to undo the sway bar, upper ball joint, and tie rod. Maybe the sway bar could be skipped, but there is no way you will fit if you skip the upper ball joint. Just not enough room

Is it as easy to reinstall them as it is to undo them? I'm hoping so.

I know you need an alignment with the 5100's cause your affecting the geometry by leveling the front end but do you still need one installing the 4600's? It will be at the same height as stock. I realize it cant hurt that's for sure. thanks again.

You are disconnecting and then reconnecting the steering and suspension.there is a good chance that the alignment will be off just a bit after that

I agree, I was planning on getting new tires after the new shocks/ rear brakes install so I'll get a 4 wheel alignment at that time, thanks again. 52, 000 on original tires, there done, going with Michelin's this time.
