Thumbs up High miles F-150 makes 400,000 !!!!

On May 21, 2013 my 1999 4 x4 F-150 hit the 400,000 mile mark in Manchester, NH.
I am the original owner, and the trucks original engine and transmission have never had any major work done on them. I am on only my third set of spark plugs. Only changed the oil every 12K - 15K miles. I took a picture of odometer and will post once I figure it out.
I Love my FORD truck !!!!

I just don't drive enough to ever get there. Glad to see another F150 get to big numbers. Those are some long stretches on the oil. What brand you use?

Congrats!! I love hearing that since I just bought one with 186K earlier this year(well the one in my sig). I overloaded it with three yards of wet loam(the loam dealer is only 2.5 miles from my house, and he threw in the third yard free since it was out of last years pile), but you could barely even tell it was loaded by the pedal response, even with a big uphill start from the end of his road.

I use what ever oil is handy and on sale. sometimes I even thrown in 10W-40 when it requires 5W-20. The truck has been very good to me.

Still impressive because they can rust away on you after that many miles

Thank you, 200,000 is nothing to sneeze at, just take it 50K at a time and you'll be at 400K before you know it.

You'll have plenty of miles left, sounds like you got one of the good ones

Nope! Not at that rate.

50,000 miles in 15 years averages out to just 3333 miles/year. At this rate it would take 300 years to "get 1 Million miles out of" mine!
