Soooo turns out my cab is off a 77, and I think an F150. The GVWR is like 6000lb, I thought the F-250's had higher

Finished filler work on my door pillar and primed it, then remounted the door, and mocked up my fender

Fixed my floor pans

Also stripped the pillar and shot it with some primer.

Thanks, chopped the old metal out and bent and shaped a new one to fit in place. Had to actually replace part of both layers, but I shot weld through primer in between so as to not let the bare metal rust again. Finished shaping out my glass today and shot it in etching primer. The only indication it's been messed with now is the lack of a drain hole.

Floor chopped out

Bottom layer fixed and primed

Upper metal welded in

Shot in primer

Today's little project...

I really think it cleans up the side profile, and makes the head on view more symmetrical. Plus I couldn't ever get mine to sit at a 90* angle

Well, as you guys may know, things on these trucks don't always go just like you plan them. Found some rust in the passenger floor pan, which I have patched, just have to fill it now. The big issue was when I sat back and looked at the back cab corner, I noticed the body line goes uphill towards the front. So I stripped the paint off and found, like I suspected, a crappy rust repair, so now it looks like I'll be re aligning the door perfectly and then bringing that pillar FUBAR back to standard.

Floor patch, just need grinding and fill work.

The old crooked patch that's going away.

Also did some R&D at the salvage yard today since I was there with a buddy, you can see where this is going

I always wanted to add a cargo light to my truck (never had one since it's only a custom). I was just going to buy one from LMC probably, but I like the idea of adding a 3rd brake light also. I'm interested to see what you do, so be sure to keep us up to date. What other rust repair do you have left? I see that you still have the rear fenders to do, anything else? I want to see paint in this truck!!!

Well the floors are finished now, at least the front is. I know there's a couple holes behind the seat from screws that need fixing, but they can be welded.

Next week I'll be tackling that screwed up cab corner, and the week after that I'll knock out the cargo light and third brake light. Im trying to find a new bed because i can do mild rust repair on a cheap enough bed for what it'll cost me in parts and materials to fix this one. Going to go with a white LED one, and paint the edges black so it mimics the look of stock, but has the added function and cool factor.

A true dent person should notice it right away, but it'll leave others guessing, and I love those things that make people do a double take and scratch their head lol
