What's the differences?

Between 53-55 door shells and the 56 door shell? Mine are ate up with rust and I'm not sure I have the skills to save them....I'm probably going to need replacement doors for the 56..
Can the 55's be made to work?

Thank you for your service, Don. 56 is by itself due to "wrap around" windshield. I think the lower section and door bottom is the same.

56 doors are getting harder and harder to find. They were only made the one year. There are some repro fiberglass 56 doors. 53-55 are the same and there are vendors that reproduce them in steel.

Bottom patches inner and outer are the same for 53-56.

I've been looking for a solid drivers door for a couple of months. Seems like many of them are pretty rusted out.

Good '56 doors are getting hard to find. I saw three sets for sale at the Nationals in PF a couple weeks ago on Friday. $1000.00 per pair was asking price for decent restorable doors. Guy would not break up either pair. Anyone interested, PM me, I have some contact information.

I've seen them at shows but never got to shut one to see how it sounds. They fit well but my experence (limited I must admit) is fiberglass has to be tweaked when you install it on your vehicle.

Gibbon they have made fiberglass stuff forever.

Jack,

Where'd you get the skin? I use to see them advertised but haven't seen them for a while. I think I could salvage my door with a outer skin and a inner patch panel.

I guess I should have clarified my search for a drivers door. Like you said they're out there but not at my price
