I stripped everything off my frame except for the four spring hangers the jack stands are on, and the cross members. I sand blasted it and then put on two coats of Rust Shield and two coats of semi gloss black enamel. The Rust Shield is supposed to be as good as POR 15, but at half the price.

Nice, Looks good. I still have to grind more rivets and take the exhaust hangers and other stuff off the frame, I was planning on stripping it as much as you did. I read lots of mixed reviews on a handful of rust preventative paints to the point where I still was unsure what to get, so I just said hell, and went with por15, only got 2 quarts, so I'l see how it works. Any product used on Trucks! tv must be superior to the rest and worth the extra money, right? haha

Yeah, i know, I look out of state to by stuff now. I am gonna use a 2 post lift to put the cab on, thats for sure lol. I have a 100% rust free cab to go back on, not from NY. The hard part is keeping it that way.

Yeah, I've been slowly (VERY slowly) working on finding someone to help me out with gathering stock piles of rust free body parts to send up north. I have been so dang busy lately I haven't been able to mess with it.

POR 15 is definitely good stuff for sure. The only reason I went with the Rust Shield is cause a buddy of mine that does paint and body work uses it, and he said it was as good as POR 15. I don't know if I would say it is as good, but I think it will be OK for mine because I don't ever plan on driving this truck in the salt......that is if I live long enough to get it done! LOL!!

Lol I have to slow down enough to find parts and go pull them or buy and pull apart some parts trucks. I haven't had a lick of time to mess with it. You north guys do need a southern parts connection, that's for sure. Lol

I didn't get a chance to make any further progress this weekend ):

But the energy suspension bushing/body mount kit came in the mail. it is supposed to have every bushing for the springs, body, sway bars, track bar etc.

For anyone who has done the cab mounts, did you buy new bolts? the new cab mount bushings do not have new hardware.

I think if you look at the price of the hardware kit you'll need you will agree to try to reuse what you have unless the bolts are really trashed. The hardware is pretty pricy. I have all the ES bushings in the suspension now and I have the body bushings on the shelf. I think you'll like the way it rides with that stuff in there. The truck certainly does feel "tighter" with those old worn out rubber bushings out of the equation.

Looks good Corey! I did the Energy Suspension spring bushings on my truck. I'd like to do the cab mounts next.

Glenn, I ordered my stuff through Autozone. The complete spring bushing kit for springs and shackles were $60 for front and $60 for the back.

I got the package deal right off the energy suspension site. 186 to my door.
PackageDeal053 Package Kit - Ford F250 and F350 4WD Package Kit
Or you can buy only what you need
Energy Suspension Parts: 4WD, Ford F350 4WD 1996

Bill, How hard is it to move around that stripped frame you posted a picture of earlier out of curiosity, think a few guy could muscle one around easy enough? and that rust shield is brush on ? how did you like how it came out?
