67 f100 tailgate hinge

67 f100 tailgate hinge

The round hinge rusted off my 67 on the passenger side, any idea on where I can find just the hinge?
I've found full tailgates and they are expensive...all I need is the hinge part to weld in

Mine was the same way on one side. A friend of mine helped me with replacing the whole tailgate corner and remade the hinge pivot using a piece of pipe

Nice repair I wish mine wasn't so trashed or I'd repair mine like that but my whole gate is Swiss cheesed

Why would you need to weld the hinge...when it wasn't welded originally?
