New spark plugs not threading in

I am in the process of changing my spark plugs, and the new plugs (champion) are not threading in. I don't understand why. The old motor craft plugs (which have all broken off so far (4) - thank goodness for the Lisle tool) all have good looking threads when they come out.

Any ideas why I can't get the new ones started?

Sorry but I would only use motorcraft or ac plugs. Ohters just don't seem to work well with the ford engine.

I would agree on the Motorcraft plugs,,, Are you sure they gave you the correct plug at the parts house?

I'm just grabbing at straws here, if you have the correct plug it "should" screw right in if the threads in the head are not damaged. Good Luck!!

Nevermind. Used a more shallow socket and they went right in. Guess I was too big for the hole...lol.

Kinda feeling dumb for jumping the gun and asking before I tried everything...

Good luck with those plugs. Many guy's have used non MC plugs and had nothing but issues. Ended up removing them.

You really need to get rid of those Champion Spark Plugs. Motorcraft is the only plug you should be using. All spark plugs are not created equal.
