2011 SD Front-end Ideas?

Alright, I love the truck, but I find the front end a bit...large? lol

Basically I am asking you folks if you added anything to the front end to tone it down a bit? I was thinking something like a bull bar or brush guard. Are there any more suggestions of what I can do to balance it a bit?

Thanks to all in advanced!

May be a little much for some but here is my idea of a good looking front end. A ranch hand bumper.

Thanks for the idea Robby!

I have been looking at bull-bars, but I haven't really thought about Ranch Hands. I don't even know if I can get one up here in Canada lol.

This is what I am starting with, previous owner installed some stainless grille inserts, witch I think may be giving it the "bigger" illusion.

Just get all the chrome wrapped black or body colour, that will smooth it out.

I did think about swapping to an XL model grille. But I do want to keep some of the chrome. Thanks!

I would start with removing the wind deflector. You'd be surprised how much smaller your front end will look with that simple change.

Another vote for toning down the chrome, I have the painted grill surround and bumper, seems less "large"

Thumbs up

Thanks for all the ideas fellas.

redford..I was going to remove it yes, they are more for looks than anything. That and its loose on the passengers side. Don't want it to snap and leave a scratch right up my hood lol.

2ndStroke.. B..E...A..utiful truck sir. If I could have afforded a King Ranch I would have tried to find one just like yours! Never been a fan of the 20" rims on trucks! Those 18" look much better!

CuNmUdF250.. I am awaiting it too, hopefully no bigger lol. I do like the 2008-2010 front-end style better. I looked high and low for a 99-02 like your V10, but with a 7.3 in it. Every one I found was either nice and $18-$20,000, or dented and scratched on every panel for $10-13,000. Only gas I found was a 1999 with a beaten old 5.4L at 430,000km. Was VERY tired.

I payed $18,900 for this 2011 Gas lol. And glad I did, rides so much better than some of the older leaf-sprung body styles I drove. Ya she has some KM's on her, but I bought from the original owner who had all receipts for the truck from day one.

Thanks again for all the ideas. They will come in handy when the time comes. I am investing in a leveling kit and tires first. The ones on it look like landing gear :P

IMO, the grille is the issue... Look at these aftermarket options.
