TBC fault

Hey Guys! I have found out of this thread the fault is with the Trailer Brake Controller. The trailer brakes work with the manual slide while moving and I get some bars on the display, when braking. I have it set to 6.0 (whatever that means) and the last time I towed, the brakes seemed to work fine. The code displayed at least two weeks after my last tow (week-end fifth wheel) and I only drive it about once a week to keep things charged, etc. Any ideas what specifically, this might mean. I have the scan gauge, but no other hook-up to the PCM. Anyone have this fault and what did you do? Thanks for the help, in advance. david

A common cause for this is moisture/corrosion in the plug. You might take it apart and see if it's dry and the wires/connections are still clean.

Your scan gauge won't read any of the codes related to the controller, have to see your dealer for that.
