When I start off in 1st gear sometimes my truck shakes so bad it acts like the dash is gonna shake loose and sometimes it is smooth I have the four speed w/ overdrive behind a 300 six. I put in a new clutch pressure plate and throwing bearing but did not have the fly wheel checked. Any ideas why it shakes so bad. It is driving me nuts.

If one lets out too quickly with the clutch, even though the 300 six has enough torque to keep going without dieing, the whole vehicle will shake.

Is this your first straight shift vehicle? Try giving just a little more gas and smoothly release the clutch.

Since the flywheel was not checked [resurfaced], if not smooth, this can cause chattering.
