the guy that's painting my truck showed me where my tailgate hinge is, the post was simply wrapped with duct tape (i assume to keep it from rubbing metal on metal). i have looked at LMC and they offer a rubber thing to go in there but it says for 1983-up. mine is a 1982 model. do any of u guys with 80-82 have any kind of rubber thing in there or is it supposed to just rub against the metal?
I they did have a plastic bushing there, I have never seen one. They are all long gone now, most are just metal on metal now if it existed when it was new.
thats about what i figured. looks like i'll be putting some fresh duct tape on it unless i can find some kind of rubber or plastic thing to fit it. thanks for the help
