If you order correct wheels with the proper backspacing, it won't be an issue. If you are grabbing some random wheels off of CL, then yes there might be an issue. Some more information on your part would be helpful if you want truthful information and not speculation. Until then you can't really be picky on who replies.

Ultra, still waiting on your goals with the 17's. Going for something like these?

I have 285/75R17 tires that I'm going to put on, so I need a 17" wheel that will fit on the Ex without rubbing. I know that there are backspacing issues with the newer F250 18" wheels, and I want to avoid those issues when buying the 17" wheels. FYI, I'll also have a 1" or 2" lift installed. I'd love to do a 4" lift but cannot do that due to garage door clearance issues.
If anyone has pics of the 17" wheels (ford or aftermarket) they used I'd love to see them.
many thanks.

17 inch Rims
Tire Rack has a great search function as does America's Tire. I got a set of 4 Black Rhino Rockwell 17" rims from the latter for about $160 per rim. They are hub-centric which is important. I have 285/17 Bridgestone Revo's mounted on them and they run smooth, no rubbing. My 2003 4x4 has a 3" body lift but I don't believe it's necessary to run this size tire/rim. Have fun with your search. Smart of you to be cautious
