QUESTIONs!?!Having a hard time with a engine swap 94' 302 HO to 92'302 standard
I have had this project for little under a year now continuously . As I said it's is a conversion from a 94' 302 HO motor (the original factory for that year Bronco) to a 92' 302 standard from a f150 . The intake , throttle body, distributor , cap , rotor , and all wiring harnesses is from the HO model . The issues that I am having with it is that I can crank on the motor and it won't start and run until I spray ether into it I can get it to stay running for the time period that the ether is running through it . In the time that it is running though it's REAL boggy. I have been trying to set the timing on it to tdc but I drop a light on it because of it not staying running . I have taken this job on as my own and am trying to keep it here caus e I have had it at 2 shops and still didn't have it running by the time it came back home by trailer. PLEASE , some great help is needed here !I have ears open to anyone that will give their time and effort up for this situation . My e-mail is ealyjessie@rocketmail.com

well you need 3 things for a motor to run, Fuel, Spark, Air. with out either your not going to have much luck. have you confirmed that the injectors are putting fuel into the motor?
coil producing spark?
I would recommend turning the crank so the motor is at TDC, you can remove the spark plug on cylinder 1 and use a small wood dowel to check piston location. then pop the distributor cap and see where the rotor is pointing. It should be pointing to #1 plug post on the dizzy cap. this would tell you how far off your timing is.
Also are you positive you have the plug wires routed to the proper firing order which should be the same between both the 92 & 94 motors.
also is your bronco running mass air or speed density?
