1953 Ford Truck Trivia question

Trivia question: Why did Ford go from a 3 pointed star on the grille of 6 cylinders in 1953 to a 4 pointed star in 54?

A new product line was conceived about that time frame? An internet search indicated the forth point was for the larger improved six cylinder engine. SWAGs only.

I am not sure what SWAG stands for but I think the G stands for 'guess' and your guess is wrong.

Old GI term like Snafu. Situation normal all f'd up. Fubar is f'd up beyond all repair or reconigition it was even used in movie Saving Private Ryan

Was it supposed to represent the 'nearly equal bore/stroke design' of the new mileage maker 6?

A cross in the center of this 1954 Ford F-100's grille (above) indicates that the truck carries the revised six-cylinder engine Ford issued for 1954. A bore increase brought it up to 223 cubic inches and 115 horsepower from 215 cid/101 hp.

That's the same answer Ray gave here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post13081596 So I don't think you win. I think he's looking for the reasoning behind the 4 point itself.
