Lift swap

I have a 2001 F350 dually 4x4 with the 7.3. It has a 6" lift on it and I do not want the lift. My buddy has a 2000 F350 4x4 with the V10. My question is will there be an issue if I swap him out suspension? I was unsure about the weight of my 7.3 vs his V10. Will mine sag in the front if we swap?
Thanks
Frankie

On a 13-14 year old truck, I'd honestly say buy new springs anyways. The rear spring pack from a SRW to a dually should be different load wise, the fronts would be the same but they tend to sag really badly over time. If you plan on really loading your truck down, new rears are almost definitely needed. The fronts might be able to be re-arched. Also, I'd say go weigh your truck on a scale to get your individual axle weights so you know if his springs are even rated to what your front end weighs.

Pull the axle weight ratings and spring codes from the VIN sticker around the driver's door latch, that will tell you what spring codes your truck came with and it's a starting point on either getting new ones, getting a pair re-arched, or even going to a higher rating. It'll look like this:
