Have you changed your Volare brake booster?

I have Volare clip with the Chrysler giant booster/MC on my 55 that I would like to swap with a 7" or 8" Corvette style booster M/C. Difficult to take accurate measurements, but it appears that the mounting holes/ bolts are slightly different spacing than standard aftermkt. spacing which I think is 3 1/4". Can anyone having done this confirm? I have what appears to be 70's Ford P/U hanging brake pedal. Thanks, Jim
