Quick spring question... 6830LB = B code?

I have a 2003 F350, which i just noticed sags to the left pretty good (id guess from the 38gallon diesel tank over there), about an inch lower. Was already planning on putting X codes up front, so looks like i will replace the rears now too. My door code sticker says 6830LB, looks like that is for B codes? Does anyone have the P/N offhand? I just want to replace them with whatever came on them, and im guessing i will just re use the little block and overload spring? Thanks

I know, i know..backup lights arent equal height

I don't see 6830LB anywhere, am I going blind? You have a 6,830 lb rear GAWR, and your rear spring code is showing as S, which is the same as the B-code spring with an overload.

If you order S-code springs from your dealer you will be good to go, this spring pack includes the overload. A quick Google search shows this as your part number: 3C3Z-5560-CA

Ah, I thought the gawr is the same as the spring codes. Because I have 5200lb front springs which I thought were v codes

Nope, GAWR is simply the Gross Axle Weight Rating. Typically expressed in pounds, which is where the 6,850 came from.

Look at the very bottom of your sticker you'll see SPR, which indicates your spring code. Yours is "VS", for V-code fronts and S-code rears.

I see. I matched up the V but couldn't figure out what the S was. Not sure if I'm gonna replace these or not, pretty pricy. I also have a full tank, probably not helping

A set of air bags would fix your worries. $289 for the set, and you simply add pressure to the side you which to provide more support to. I have a set on the Excursion, you can check them out any time after next week!

Diesel is 7.15lbs/gallon. Your truck should not be sagging with 271.7lbs of fuel in the tank.

That's what I thought, but a few people told me otherwise. They'll get replaced someday...just not now for the price they are.

Are you going to take them off before you sell it? And if I'm keeping pressure to compensate for the lean will the ride be worse?

Probably not, they wouldn't be worth anything. And from what I can tell they won't fit a Super Duty pickup.

Not really. You'd simply be adding the support that your sagging spring isn't providing anymore. Of course these air springs have different deflection rates than the leafs do, and therefore they will stiffen up as they compress in ways the leafs won't. I keep 20 PSI in the rears to keep the back level with the front, and the ride isn't much stiffer. The X-codes you are putting up front will stiffen things much more than some airbags if pressures are kept reasonable.

They seem to have a lot of different kits, and i am not sure which ones i would need. My truck came with a B&W turnover hitch in it...its the one that you see a metal maybe 12x12 plate in the bed, and you lift up a flap and can flip the ball up. Not sure what part number it is

That doesn't sound like a B&W hitch...

There should be a kit listed for trucks with hitches. I have a Firestone kit in my truck and it works with the B&W gooseneck.
