It was only a matter of time...
As the title says, it was only a matter of time.
My youngest son turned 17 in January.
He took Driver's Ed. and passed the Maryland written test, to get his license.
He had "Spring Break" from High School this past week, and I took a few days off work to re-teach him how to parallel park and spend some time with 'the boy'.
He's a chip off the old block.
He can parallel park that old Ranger in less than a minute!!!
On April 4th, I took him to meet the MVA people and take his Road Test.
He passed!!!!
That boy (ahem. . . . 'young man') has confiscated my truck!!!!!!!
If you see a Red '00 Blue Oval Ranger 4x4 Sport runnin' the streets, tell that boy to bring my truck home, so that I can at least look at it!!!!!!

Just for giggles and grins I'd tell 'em "don't take nuttin' home but the steering wheel!"
That's a monumental day in a young man's life----talk about a rush of adrenaline and thoughts of what mischief he might find. More than a few young women have gone that same route though.
Needless to say those times together; you with "the boy", he with "the old man" are priceless. Alan Jackson said it better though:
Enjoy these days as they're fast fleeting---and congrats to the both of you!
