CONCERTS...

g

Turning into a BIG concert year for us....kind'a snuck up on us.

Stared with sending the bride and girls to Carrie Underwood last Oct for my wife's Birthday...I think it was.

Then we saw Hall & Oates a couple of weeks ago.

Bride and girls took their annual spring break trip...to Nashville this year...and saw Blake, Miranda, Clint Black and some others at the Grand ol' Opry.

We have six tickets for George Strait's last show on his last tour at ATT stadium here in Dallas in June. (Will soon sell two of the tickets on Stub Hub at an embarrassing amount of $$$)

Then in July we have "Queen" at American Airlines center.

Busy year but, should be fun.

My wife wants to see George Strait (again) soooooooo badly.

I like ole George, but, I wasn't spending the kind of $$$ that people were wanting, for the closest show to us, in Philly.

So, I just kinda told my wife that I wasn't going to be a part of her getting all sentimental and jumpin' up on stage to do some rude, crude and socially unacceptable things to George, in front of me and the rest of the world.

She said that I shouldn't have put those thoughts into her head.
It now gave her something to think about. Ha!!!!!!!!

Ha, ha! They'll ALL dance to George Strait.....

We were lucky and got all 6 tickets at face value the day they went on sale. By the time I sell the two extras I should get all 6 paid for, plus gas money... Especially since it is supposed to be his last show. No telling who will show up on the stage that night.

The last concert I saw was Toby Keith a few years again. I paid a stupid amount and wasn't particularly impressed with his show.

I've given up on country music. Tons of classic rock show this year around here that I want to see but I never find the time.

Blood, Sweat and Tears will be here soon and I would love to see them. The Boss, Journey, Steve Miller, Kiss, and a few others are coming this summer.

I gave away great Bob Seger tickets when my sister-in-law was in hospice and I missed Heart due to travel. Two of my favorites.

I have to agree on Toby. The concert we went to a few years back...kinda sucked.

ZZ Top was really good. Tim McGraw & Kenny Cheney was awesome but, the best I have been at in the last 15 years....believe it or not...Shania Twain. From start to finish.

When Brooks and Dunn were still a duo, they had the best shows ever.

You guys plan your concert out pretty far in advance! I just decided to see Between the Buried and Me in Charlotte this weekend, that'll be fun. Who knows what after that though.

I have tix to see Motley Crue with Alice Cooper. Never seen Alice so I figured I would go. Vince Neil's voice left him long ago so I have low hopes for MC. Looks like I'm going to go to the Journey with Steve Miller show as well. I think I heard Def Leppard will tour this summer so I might make it all 80's all the time!
