Reupholster Lariat Seats

The leather seating surfaces on my 2002 are falling apart. I don't want to just install some cheapo covers but instead have the seats completely reupholstered. Has anyone replaced their interior?

What about having the entire seat recovered in leather? Ford only used leather on the top seating surfaces but how about the entire seat, front and back?

Anyone have any automotive upholster shops in Oklahoma they recommend?

I've used them also. Nice product, not particularly cheap but good quality.

A few owners have redone their seats with covers from this company, with great results.

I used them to recover and replace the foam in the drivers seat of m '02 F-250.
The cover matched the factory cover exactly and the seat foam came in a Ford factory bag,
It was a nice Saturday morning project.

THANKS! I looked at the site and a full front set of covers is listed at under $800.00. This is a go.....and it is easier to justify for my wife. Reps sent.

Anyone know the Ford part number for the bottom cushion? I'm, curious what it costs to get thru Tousley Ford Parts Depot vs. getting it thru The Seat Shop - Auto Upholstery | Leather Seat Covers | 3rd Row Seats | Driver Bottom (Crew Cab Only) Foam Cushion

When I ordered the seat foam from the Seat Shop, I did it by the Seat Shop part number.
When the foam got to me it was in a Ford bag, but that bag with the part number is long gone.
You might try sending a message to Tousley to see if they can quote the price for the Ford seat foam.

Ok, thanks for the info. Maybe I'm wrong, but it just seems like $125 for some foam is kinda high.

It was not just a piece of foam, it has some structure formed in it for securing the seams of the seat cover.
Yes, it is not cheap, but may look pretty cheap compared to what Ford charges.

True.

I wonder what an upholstery shop would charge to replace the foam and the worn section on the outer edge (oem fabric, not leather)?? The rest of the seat is in really good shape. Just the outer edge of the fabric and foam is worn.

The driver side seat foam on my truck had been rebuilt several times.
The vinyl on the side had been replaced with carpet.
There was a place on the left side where several layers of foam had been cut to shape and glued in to place to build that side up.
There was a piece of cloth screwed across the seat frame to reinforce the springs.
I replaced the foam because the cushion was so bad that it hurt my back if I drove it for more than half an hour.
Also the new seat cover would not last long if not supported by the foam.
If your foam is in need of a little help, you could buy some foam sheet and trim it to shape and glue it with spray adhesive to build it up.
You could do this for a lot less than $ 120.00
The seat Shop has videos that show how to do this, check them out.

OP,
Do you have heated seats and if not are you thinking of putting some aftermarket units in? Just curious because I'd like to do that to mine when and if I recover.

Also at $800 plus the time and frustration or cost if you don't install them yourself. Have you considered a nice used set of ebay from a newer model?

I looked at Ebay, to buy a pair of seats was always in the $ 1,300 - $ 1,400 range.
For that you got used seats with normal wear and tear for the mileage of the truck.
If you buy seat covers and rebuild, you have new seat covers.
If you don't need foam, you are considerably cheaper than used seats.

Rebuilding the seats is not that difficult, it would take you an hour to do the first one, 30 minutes for the second one.

Just watch the videos

The Seat Shop has some very good training videos, even a set specifically on the Ford F250/350 seats. I have watched all four individual videos, that cover just these seats, twice now and feel I can do this myself.

I do not have heated seats, but in the videos they show swapping the heatings elements is something that is easy to perform.

Plus I like the fact of using the original seat frames instead of ones that someone else's butt has sit in
