clicking when trying to start
Any ideas on what might cause the dash to click when trying to start truck. I have 2 new batteries and altinater. Edge evolution is unplugged and the only other thing hooked up is my tekonsha P3. I'm also getting a loud humming noise inside the truck, sounds like its coming from passenger side of the truck. Thanks again Adam

The humming noise sounded like an electric motor, extremly loud like nothing I've never heard of. After the humming/electric motor noise quit the truck would just turn over but not start. Plugged in my edge to the OBD port and the truck started right up.
As for the clicking it sounds more like something is pulling extra juice the dash lights click on and off when happening. My truck will start but if it sits more than a couple of days without being plugged in the only way to get it started is with a 1000a jump box.
Played around with my tekonsha p3 brake controller and seemed like when it's not plugged in the truck is better but not 100%. What could possibly be causing the extra pull.
Also on a side note I notice noises coming thru the speakers even with the radio completly off.

No amp in the radio all stock there.
My battery cables are a very good possibility. 1 leg of the hot side broke off (passenger side battery) and I bought a pig tail lead and attached it to the other unbroken side. Not got the dough right now to put new cables in.
When I do is the stealership the best place to get those from? or is there an aftermarket set?

If you go to your parts store with the lengths of the wires written down, you should be able to buy the cable you need and fittings to suit either end and DIY it. If you have access to a gas torch or oxy set a couple of sticks of soft solder and flux to make a perfect join on the ends then a peice of heat shrink in red and black to cover the join. They will look like the factory sets for a fraction of the price.
That's what I would do
