April, 2013 Junk Yard Wishlist
This was a neat idea, thanks again to lgwilson for suggesting this!
Last month's will be closed.
Post your wants & needs here, even if they were on last month's list; there's enough chatter on the old one it gets hard to know if somebody is still needing a part or not without reading through the entire thing.
Please keep monetary-transaction talk amongst yourselves - in PMs or e-mail.
It's fine if we want to give/sell things to each other but we can't be running a Flea Market or Auction House here, that's against the spirit of what we do here - people helping each other.
You might also check out the 80-86 Truck Parts - Free to a good home thread.

I am looking for a few things.
First, a rear seat ashtray insert for a 1986 crew cab, one of mine has been missing it's lid for years.
Second, a set of front wheel center caps for the 1994-97 dually Alcoa manufactured Ford aluminum wheels.
Third, and this is a stretch, the rear wheel center caps for the same wheels.

I'm looking for a good 1980 - 81 chrome grill.
And, I'm looking for exactly the opposite end - a tailgate trim panel like this in excellent condition, although it need not have the XLT emblem as I have new ones:

Id like a 87+ front tank filler neck. From the cap to the tank. Im tired of takin 5 minutes to pump 10 gallons.
Im also interested in all the wiring required for a ds2 swap. Ill buy a new carb and dizzy. This is for a 86 300 6.

I know where a clean 1994 1/2 F350 is. I'll check this morning to see if it has the front filler neck and get back to you, JayzDaddy.

I will tell you this, the later style filler necks made a huge difference in filling mine. If you think the standard styleside is hard to fill, try a dually!

JayZDaddy,
85lebaront2 made a good point in mentioning a dually. There is a difference for a dually, and that is what the truck I mentioned is. Is yours a dually?
I spoke with the owner of the truck and someone has expressed an interest in the tank assemblies, but he is going to check with the other party and see if they still want the items.
Let me know if the dually parts will work for you and I will follow up.

Matthew, the 80-86 fillers, the fuel goes down the outside and there is (originally) a roughly 3/4" OD vent line that runs up inside and goes into a holder on the top inside of the filler pipe. Starting in 1987, the fuel goes down a 1" plastic tube and the vent is the outside.
The early filler system is prone to fuel splashing over the end of the vent tube or the tube coming loose at the top. When this happens the fuel "burps" out of the neck, or it shuts off the pump nozzle. Duallys are even worse due to the length and number of bends. Mine used to be a royal PITA to fill the front tank, now with the 1996 filler necks, it can still be a hassle but nowhere near as bad.

Reminds me of filling our van, it's impossible to get it completely full, and on hot days, it'll just keep shutting the pump off especially even if the tank is almost empty. It has a 36 gallon single tank and you can only get about 29-31 gallons in it maximum due to the same problem. That and it pukes gas out the side a lot while filling.
