Richard sold a printing company a few years back for millions. Between 5 and 8 million supposedly. Hes not as cash strapped as the show portrays. The beards were grown for the show. Reality TV is not reality it seems....the bronco build was an example of that. No way it was worth that $. You can buy nicer early bronco for half what they got for it. But the buyer got advertising out of the deal I guess.

I find Fast N Loud to be an entertaining show and Richard/Aaron to be likeable and entertaining characters. These type of shows can be edited to show anything they want so I don't take them real seriously. I think alot of us would like to be able to make a living doing what they do. I can say I enjoyed the recent episode where Richard's buddy Collins (Collins Bros Jeep) came over with 60k in cash in his briefcase and bought the big block 67 Vette. I do have to say some of the stuff I see them doing to the cars/trucks makes me cringe but in the end I think most of them come out looking good. I really liked the old school chopper they built for the biker build off.

FaL and the dessert junkyard guys are a bunch of hammer mechanics that put lipstick and dress on a pig then sell it quick before it falls apart. When Dave on storage wars got thrown off the show (he wanted residuals on the repeat episodes) he sued and the truth was revealed: The "characters" get paid 25K per season, and 2500.00 per auction they attend, + expenses if out of town. The rooms are "salted" with high end items the buyers get to keep as a "bonus". Note how they always have an "expert" at the ready that knows extensive details about very obscure items (could it possibly be that the "expert" is who provided the item in the first place???)

The FnL guys build drivers not show cars. They can't tie up their shop for months or even years working on a single car. I like watching real cars getting built more then I do some show queen that will never get driven or abused.
And what the hell does storage wars have to do with Fast & Loud? Of coarse storage wars is fake. What you really think they would be on the show for free? And how entertaining would it be to watch everyone clean out a storage unit and haul it to the dump? It's TV get over it!
