I took some pics while wiring up my Chinese 2008-16 mirrors (BTW the LEDs are super dim, barely noticeable during day. They arent even half as bright as the picture pretends to convey).

I decided to do it the right way; from inside the cabin.

Did I get this right? 2 wires tap into the brown wire in the headlight function switch for the running/parking lights which are the BOTTOM light in the mirror; each wire going to the corresponding wire in the mirror harness (blue wire in my Chinese mirrors). See pic:

(Note: This is an old pic. I rewired using black and white wire as per the pic above. Not the yellow wire I show in the pic below). I tap into into the blue wire of the mirror harness (Chinese mirrors...not sure f the follow same color scheme as OEM)

Then for the turn signal lights in the mirror (TOP LIGHT), the driver's side uses a wire from the light Green/White and the passenger' side mirror uses a separate wire from the White/Light Blue wire in the steering column (I'm holding that harness bundle in my hand), and each goes to the RED wire in the left and right mirror harness, respectively.

Now, I did this and both lights in the mirror come on when I have the Running Lights or Headlights on and both lights int he mirror blink when I activate the turn signal. Either I wired something incorrectly OR the 2 mirror bulbs are on the same circuit.

Thoughts?
