How easy does that install?

How is the light output with those above?

It's as easy as can be, comes with plugs that go to your headlights. So you don't need to worry about making custom connections there with wire taps. I haven't used this (I made my own before I knew this existed) but it's damn easy to install.

I do know what it does: instead of getting it's power from the headlight switch that also POWERS ALL OTHER LIGHTS like dash and marker, this will pull all the power the headlights need directly from the battery. The result is the headlights have more power and are brighter than before, they're as bright as the bulb is rated for out of the package.

That's pretty cool. I'll try that before adding any more lights behind the grill but I may throw some big round piaa hid driving lights behind the grill.

I did relays on both of my trucks. On the dump truck, to see homw much differnce it would make, I ran a wire from B+ and backprobed the connecter at the light. When I hooked it up and unhooked it, I could see a noticeable change in brightness. IIRC, I checked with a voltmeter and was losing about 2 volts between the battery and headlight. I highly reccomend it. It also takes the load off of the headlight switch which is prone to melting.

How about roof lights? You can get extremely bright rally lights to go up there that are blindingly bright. I've seen eBay kits that claim 12000 lumen's which is insane.

As I said, I have the relays installed and my headlights are definitely brighter, but do the other lights get brighter as well since the headlights aren't such a draw? I guess I never took notice and I don't have a lot of exterior lights to compare with.

If I mounted a couple of those 100 watt long range kc lights behind the grill, would they emit enough light behind the grill to be worth having back there? I'll only be using them on the highway and off road.

Or in other words, all the time.

KC lights are for off-road use ONLY. Using them on the highway can blind other drivers and/or get you a fat ticket from a LEO...

I thought up to 150 watts was still technically street legal. I may be wrong. I know they don't bother you around here over that kind of thing but I would like to keep it legal.

It's not wattage that would make you illegal, its the design of the light. And KC lights are not designed to be DOT legal...

Got ya. That's valid. I need to figure out what would work best. I just want as much visibility as possible being that I'll be in the woods early before the sun comes up while still being able to use them on the highway at night.

Negatory. If you notice your replacement bulbs, they're only like 55/65w.

It's not always wattage, etc...(Which produces heat and WILL melt down the plastic housings)...Aim, projection and bulb color all play a part in effective lighting.

Considered it but I prefer my chrome for this application. Rare for me seeing how I removed all signs of chrome on my past vehicles.
