In my experience, female Labs seem to be the high strung ones, our males have been big, lovable, teddy bears.

Hey, Gig, do you carry all the pallets with you, or is this a permanent campsite? That seems like a lot of extra weight. Right now, my wife and I drag about 7500lbs everywhere we go camping: camper, food, water, stuff. We want to eventually get a fifth wheel, but I'm not sure I want to drag around 12,500 lbs with my F250.

Good lookin' heelers!

I rescued a 1/2 heeler, 1/2 leader about 15 years ago. She was a great dog, but couldn't decide if she should bark at the front bumper or the rear tires when I would come home from work.

She was one of the smartest dogs I had ever had - when she went blind she would use her nose to measure the distance to the couch, and then back up the right number of steps so she could jump right into her favorite corner. She would often check her gauging of this distance half-a-dozen times before taking the flying leap. It always worked perfectly - although sometimes when the cat was sleeping in that spot it got a rude awakening!
