Rustproofing
My 2012 f250 SC is about five months old and I had it undercoated and paint sealed a the dealer before delivery,...I know, I know,... that's a whole nuther thread.
Anyway, a recent look under the chasis and I can see a few missed spots and such and other areas they simply don't put it. My hindsight research has led me to believe oil/wax treatments are far superior to actual rubberized coating so I ordered up some Fluid film to experiment with.
Wondering if anyone else on board here has done this and if so,...was it a good idea?
I bought a gallon can, sprayer and 5 cans of the aerosol with the extension wand to get tough spots.
Since I keep my trucks til they die and since it's brand new, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to get started early. We get about four months of winter/salt conditions and when I traded in my 96 ram, there was a lot of surface rust visible on some frame parts and such.
They say once a year treatment is all you need and I'm thinking of getting in that routine...
Suggestions welcome

I applied fluid film to the underside of my truck this fall as a rust preventative. Looks like at this point most of the fluid film has washed off. The good news is there is nothing rusty underneath. It definitely works as a rust inhibitor, but i think it will need to be applied more than once a year. The stuff gets my vote.

Thanks guys, This stuff arrived in the mail the other and I was anxious to give it a try. Still a little cold out there so i just brushed a bit on the front suspension parts for now to see how it works.
Hopefully this stuff lives up to the hype as many swear on it, so I guess i'll see and report back later.
