my first warning sign should have been when he said "we can't figure out how to shim this". Then a few weeks later I saw the pinion seal and pumpkin cover leaking. Then I heard gear noise, then i fingered out some shiny metal flake gear oil.

I'm sure the housing is fine - just gotta spray that down with a few cans of brake cleaner, and install all new guts. The carrier may still be good - waiting to hear back on that.

Negative. I bought them, then sold them for more money and never installed them lol.

Truck came back from MassDiesel a month or so ago with a brand new rear end in it, running strong now.

^^this.

Waiting on a new toilet paper filter, because mine is at least 3 years old and I imagine it weighs 50 lbs by now. Hopefully that solves the problem, otherwise I'll be buying a transmission, or gas and matches.

And ya, the cab corner is a 9" hole, i lost a flare to bed rust, and the other isn't too far behind. All scratched to **** because i like driving it through the woods.

In other words, it's what a truck is supposed to be, not a ***** pretty boy king ranch homo job.

Im not sure where you live...but there is a place in Palmer, Ma. PDS..Performance Diesel Specialist.
He works on anything diesel. Motor, transmission...anything.
I would dare say he is the best around the North East...
Dont know if you are looking for a shop or not.

I think he's all set with that, but if you happen to know of a place we can light a truck on fire and not get in trouble, that'd be helpful
