Well, I had not mentioned that before, but right now I am considering that too. I'm not sure which way I 'll go right now for sure.

Haven't been getting a lot done on this lately. Been tied up in some other projects, but I worked on some filler necks tonight.

Keep up the good work! I have been watching this build on and off as I have started on my own service truck build.. A rather unique one.. I am putting a standard cab onto a crew cab frame and putting my welder and enclosure between the cab and service box.

What ever works for you. I almost built a reg cab one, but I decided I wanted a crew cab pickup for my service rig.

Excellent built 300. I have a '94 CC IDIT that I want to do a very similar build to the engine as yours. I'm on the fence about an intercooler. What is your impression with yours? And have you settled on a fuel system? IIRC you were looking at upgrading the lift pump and IP but after changing the turbo. I appreciate the build pics. Keep up the good work.

Got back to it and some more little things done.
-110 gallon fuel tank mounted
-Tailpipe reworked to accommodate wider/longer service body so I'm not painting the side of it black.
-I broke down and got new TOYO M-55 285/75R16's. Not cheap, but they're pretty much the toughest thing on the market. They really look good on there and fill out the wheel well nicely.
-Old ugly running boards had to go. New tires rubbed them. I like the look without them better. Someday maybe I will build some steel steps to my liking.

Intercooler is absolutely worth doing. I don't know if was worth it to buy the Banks intercooler. The fitment wasn't as good as I expected from Banks. There are lots of ways to go for a an intercooler, but I think the Super Duty 7.3L intercooler is the best bang for the buck. The fuel system is still stock for now and it keeps up fine at the moment. I'll get to an upgrade when I get to the A3K turbo.

Anyway here's the fuel new lines with my fuel filter relocation.

What type , size of fuel line is this and where did you get it ?

It's just 3/8 push lock hose. Supposed to be good for 200 psi I think. They sell a special hose to go with the push lock fittings. I got them from a place called Hose and Rubber. Parker and Eaton seem to be what I most commonly see. There are others. Parker calls it Push Loc and Eaton calls it Barb Tite I think. They all look the same though and are I believe interchangeable.

Update

A little update. I've been running this as my service rig for my mobile diesel tech company and I've put about 10k miles on it now. Other than having trouble getting my ATS slip fit up pipe joint to seal and my expensive aluminum radiator leaking it's performed very well. After driving for a while I realized the stock turbo paired with the R&D cam is a poor match and is quite laggy on the bottom end. That's my fault though. I need to get the A3K on there when I can have some down time this winter.
As far as performance goes once I'm up into the rpm range it performs impressively. I can peg my 15lb boost gauge with my foot in it long enough and it's all I can do to touch 1000 EGT even loaded. It pulls the equivalent of its own weight easily and once I'm boosting and over 2000 RPM's there's no slowing it down while pulling a trailer equal it's weight. I can hold 70+ on a hill all day, so overall I'm satisfied with it so far but judging by my low boost pressures and EGT's there's defiantly some meat left on the bone to push it further.
