milky substance on oil filller cap

Did a pressure test and the lime color didn't change. The local dealer did the same test with same results. Dip stick is clean. Dealer said it's condensation and not to worry. Anybody else have or had this problem? 2001 f-350 V-10 with 84k miles.

How much do you use the truck? Lots of short drives? If the oil itself looks good, I wouldn't worry about a bit of condensation on the filler cap.

During the winter, and if you don't drive it enough to really evaporate all the water out of the crankcase and get it sucked through the PCV, whatever water vapor is left over will condense on cool surfaces. Valve covers first, usually

You're the man Krewat, primarilly short drives. Live about 7 miles from the coast and the truck is not garaged. Thank you for the reply.

You will see this from time to time and is definately condensation. Once you run the engine for a bit, recheck it and it will be gone. Of course when I see it, I wipe it clean to get that bit of moisture out of there.
