Hello,

My wife recently was hit requiring a trip to the body shop. After we got the truck back she noticed a gap in dashboard and swears it did not exist before. The gap looks questionable to me (I can't believe Ford would sell the truck like that), but we looked at a 1999 and it had the gap so I guess the questions are:

1) Does this gap really exist on most other Ford F150's of that type?
2) Is it possible this was fixed so that it would not show up and then that work was undone when we got the truck repaired?

 

Pretty sure my 98 has that same gap at the base of the A pillar. I take a look and report back to you.

 

Thank you, it's really bugging my wife because she swears it wasn't there... unfortunately I hadn't noticed one way or the other.

 

My 1997 has the gap, I'd estimate about 3/8", on each side.
