This one's a '54. Was offered to me, but it is SO rough and supposedly the rear axle is bad. I followed up the lead thinking maybe putting the running gear in my '37 1 1/2 ton...... Had a heck of a time getting photos transfered from a crappy phone but there were about 6 old fords down in this moss covered gully. Oh, and 2 Studebaker duallys. I plan a trip back there with my real camera soon.
4wd is the MH part. Converted by Marmon Herrington. It has a great tag on the glove box door. Another pretty good F3 had a tree dropped on the passenger side of the cab. Both Studes were total Chia Trucks. Full blanket of 1" thick moss on all surfaces.
Stu, the F3 is a 2wd..... and Panelman, there's a monkey-faced panel in there too. Looks like Friday will be sunny here and I can sneak over to the other side of the island and get a bunch of shots.
Check that Panel for the original seats, should be a pair of bucket seats or at least one, and the rest doors. If the doors are in good and solid shape, then I'd recommend getting the panel too if the price is right.
About 8 years ago I bought a tailgate from this guy for my '53 f350 9' flareside. It was light green and in nice shape. I wonder if it came from the camper truck? The bed Does look pretty good. Stu, I feel your pain.......
Hey GB those trucks look kinda familiar. someone posted a bunch of trucks on an island somewhere near you (orcas???) cant remember now? anyway that coe, did it have a later model engine in it? half installed?
ill search for that thread when i get in front of a computer and off this phone.
It was an overhead V8. That's all I know. There is a guy on the island who runs an auto repair shop and a tow truck service who I know has posted here. Maybe 'islandtow' or something like that. He could have photographed them. They've obviously been there a long time.
