We all cool round here.

Best place to do a starter rebuild is at the shop with somebody who knows what they are doing and has all the tools and testing equipment.

It's just not a DIY project.

The best..........
take it to a local auto electric shop & have them re-build it...let them know any concerns you have and they will adress that as well. Typically cost less than anything you could typically buy & of better quality and less $

Well, to be fair, I said what reliably starts the truck. And I try to avoid hills because the my parking brake doesn't work, lol.

1st gear works so well, though, lol. Naw, I've got the truck in the garage for a little work, I guess I'll get around to fixing the parking brake here soon.
