Among the issues with my '92 is an interesting growl when I turn the wheel to the right, whether at speed or sitting still. It is only when I turn right from the center position. It is a rough vibration through the steering column that can easily be felt through the wheel and has a dry growl that doesn't sound like the usual power steering noises.

Any ideas?

 

smell your powersteering pump fluid. if it smells burnt or rotten then you need a new pump.
